MODERN RECOVERY ALLIANCE
Brand system 1.0 | Founding proposal | 6 October 2026

STATUS AND PURPOSE
This is a proposed visual system for community review, not evidence of an incorporated organization, certified treatment service, clinical endorsement, or ratified identity. MRA is spelled out as Modern Recovery Alliance on first contact. The identity belongs to the emerging community's conversation; it does not use a founder portrait, project title, entertainment branding or product funnel.

Retained from the supplied concept: the name Modern Recovery Alliance, the initials MRA, the exact tagline “Recovery that evolves with the world.”, blue/cyan visual lineage, and the idea of connected people learning together.

New design proposal: a simplified Common Ground M symbol, a restrained palette, clear typography, and equal-sized connection nodes. The source network globe has become a supporting motif rather than a dense field of tiny lines inside the logo.

THE COMMON GROUND SYMBOL
Two equal peaks meet at a shared center. It is intended to suggest reciprocal support and shared effort, with no single superior summit. Flat facets retain the source concept's geometry while making reproduction practical. This is a design interpretation, not a scientific or therapeutic claim. Do not describe the mark as clinically validated or proven to affect recovery.

Use the symbol with the full organization name wherever the audience may not know MRA. Initials alone can be ambiguous in public search and conversation.

COLOR TOKENS
Navy #102A43 RGB 16,42,67 Primary background; headings; strong contrast
Blue #155EEF RGB 21,94,239 Primary accent; major actions; left symbol facet
Teal #007F82 RGB 0,127,130 Secondary accent; right symbol facet
Sky #45C6E8 RGB 69,198,232 Highlights on navy; decorative lines
Paper #F6F8FA RGB 246,248,250 Quiet light background
Ink #152536 RGB 21,37,54 Body copy on light backgrounds
White #FFFFFF RGB 255,255,255 Reverse type; white logo variant
Mint #6CDFCE RGB 108,223,206 Dark-background symbol variant only

Use mostly navy, paper and white. Blue/teal identify actions and small focal points. Avoid gradients, glows, neon network clutter or color-coded claims of member progress. For production printing ask the printer to convert the RGB artwork using the destination press/profile and proof the result; no unverified universal CMYK conversion is supplied.

TYPE
DejaVu Sans Book: paragraphs, supporting messages, labels.
DejaVu Sans Bold: logo wording, primary headings, short emphasis.
Fallback for live digital text: system sans-serif, then Arial, then sans-serif.
Use ordinary sentence case in reading material. All caps are reserved for short labels and campaign headlines. Avoid long stretches of all-cap body copy.
Suggested document typography: 10.5–12 pt body, 1.35–1.5 line spacing, left aligned; comfortable paragraph separation. Offer a larger text version where needed.
The provided SVG lettering is outlined (vector paths) to prevent font substitution. The Python source retains the exact copy and editable geometry; changing copy means regenerating the SVG. PNGs are ready to post; SVGs are the scalable production masters.

LOGO USE
- Horizontal: name recognition in headers, pamphlets, partner materials. Includes tagline.
- Stacked: covers and larger centered placements. Includes tagline.
- Symbol: avatar, favicon, small repeated identifier after the name is introduced.
- Black: single-color printing, stamping, economical copies.
- White: solid dark backgrounds. White variants have transparent backgrounds and can look invisible against white previews.
- Avatar: a deliberately solid navy square, ready for platform avatar cropping.

Minimum design recommendations, to be proofed in the actual output:
- Symbol: 24 px on screen / 8 mm wide in print. Use one color when tiny.
- Horizontal with tagline: 480 px on screen / 95 mm wide in print.
- Stacked with tagline: 500 px on screen / 90 mm wide in print.
If the full lockup becomes too small to read, switch to the symbol with separately typeset live organization text rather than squeezing it.

Clear space: keep at least one fifth of the symbol's visible height free around the complete lockup. The outer canvas padding is not a substitute for clear space when placing other content nearby. Do not stretch, rotate, skew, add shadows, outline the letters, recolor individual facets arbitrarily, place on busy photos, or attach sponsor/product logos inside the clear space.

ACCESSIBILITY AND CONTRAST
Digital normal text target: at least 4.5:1 against its actual background. Large text minimum: 3:1; aim higher. Source [B1]. This is a brand target, not a claim that the entire package or future website is fully WCAG conformant.

Calculated sRGB palette ratios (rounded for reporting):
Navy on Paper 13.75:1
Ink on Paper 14.61:1
White on Navy 14.64:1
White on Blue 5.41:1
White on Teal 4.82:1
Sky on Navy 7.32:1
Mint on Navy 9.12:1
Blue on Paper 5.08:1
Teal on Paper 4.53:1
Sky on White 2.00:1 — DO NOT use for meaningful text.
Ratios were calculated from the palette's specified RGB values using relative luminance. Do not round a failing contrast result upward to call it a pass. Printer output, overlays, transparency and changed backgrounds need new checks.

Prefer navy/ink for small text because their contrast is well above the minimum. Never use color alone to signal a role, decision, error or safety status. Label icons and charts. Pair social graphics with the same information as ordinary text in the caption. Each SVG includes a title/description; asset_manifest.json supplies suggested alt text. Upload meaningful alt text manually where the platform permits it; embedded metadata is not a guarantee that the platform will expose it. On a website, use live HTML text for body information rather than image-only text.

VOICE AND IMAGE DIRECTION
Speak as “we” when a community position is ratified and clearly label proposals before then. Use practical invitations: “Help shape what comes next.” Ask for questions and disagreement without pretending decisions are already collective.
Use real activities and materials with freely given, specific consent. Do not imply that someone pictured uses drugs, has a diagnosis, is in recovery, or endorses MRA. Avoid before/after redemption imagery, stereotyped distress, clinician costumes, hospital crosses or certification seals. Place clinical guidance and research claims in properly sourced information, not decorative badges.

Do not announce guaranteed recovery, proven MRA effectiveness, medical authority, organizational status, member counts, partnerships, donation tax benefits or participant outcomes that have not been established. “Evidence informs us” describes the proposed decision-making commitment, not demonstrated effectiveness of MRA as a program.

READY-MADE GRAPHICS
1. social_01_welcome_1080x1080: public introduction, square.
2. social_02_foundations_1080x1920: proposed commitments, portrait.
3. social_03_founding_invitation_1920x1080: invitation to founding discussions, widescreen.
These are not notices of a scheduled meeting. They contain no fabricated link, date or membership claim. Add a verified current Discord invitation in the accompanying caption before posting; do not use an unverified old invite. A community discussion space does not imply continuously staffed crisis support.

The three graphics are designed at the named pixel dimensions. Preview them on a phone and inside the intended platform's crop/overlay before publishing. Keep platform navigation and captions clear of important copy.

RIGHTS AND REVIEW
The name and symbol are proposals. Trademark, business-name, domain-name and confusing-similarity clearance have NOT been performed. Native vector construction alone does not establish exclusive ownership or legal availability. Community ratification and appropriate clearance should precede major paid production. The source screenshots remain reference material, not proof of rights or registrations. No font binaries or third-party photographs are redistributed in this folder.

CONTENTS AND REPRODUCTION
SVG: 15 scalable masters, path-based lettering and geometry.
PNG: matching ready-to-use exports; logos are transparent except the square avatar.
brand_overview: one-page visual review image, SVG and PNG.
asset_manifest.json: names, dimensions, transparency and descriptive alt text.
build_brand_assets.py: editable generating source; uses matplotlib, Pillow and Inkscape. Update local font paths if running on a different computer. This script builds assets offline from geometry and text; it makes no network requests.

QUALITY REVIEW PERFORMED
All social graphics and the overview were visually inspected. Color, black and white logo variants were reviewed together on light/dark backgrounds. Exact dimensions, opacity mode and color contrast were checked. No invented URL, meeting date, treatment outcome or affiliation appears in the graphics. Final wording remains subject to platform/community review.
